Kristin Adolfson has been making artist books since 2000, when she accidentally learned bookbinding through an unrelated course at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. From that moment she began constantly thinking in page turns. Kristin also works with letterpress, and teaches both bookbinding and letterpress at the Virginia Arts of the Book Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Her artist books have been exhibited at Codex International Book Fair in San Francisco, Action/Interaction:Book/Arts at Columbia College Chicago, and are part of the University of Washington and University of Virginia Rare Book School collections.
Kristin earned a B.A. with Distinction from the University of Virginia in Media and Film Studies, studied letterpress at the Center for Book Arts, and bookbinding at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. On relocation to Charlottesville, Virginia, she started Still Point Press & Design Studio, a web and graphic design business.
